“When you buy a steak or a pound of mince from Dalachy we know its history from when it was just a gleam in the bull’s eye to when it lands in your shopping basket.”

Today it is still farmed with the same passion by brothers Tom and Watson Inglis, ably assisted by their wives Wilma and Sheena.
Dalachy is a mixed farm with many arable acres and a large flock of sheep, but it is their beef herd that is their true pride.
“The animals are bred from our own prize bull and reared here at Dalachy,” explains Tom, “and so we know its history and provenance throughout its lifecycle”

“Our beef is always hung for at least three weeks before purchase, that’s what makes Dalachy Beef different from mass-produced supermarket fare.”
We are members of Quality Meat Scotland who audit us annually. This monitoring ensures that a good health programme is adopted for our livestock.

Beef fact Beef offers a high level of nutrients compared to calories. The high nutrient density of beef makes it an essential part of low-calorie diets, especially for women with greater iron requirements.

The animals we rear are our passion and we strive to provide the best for you, our customer. The welfare of our livestock is extremely important to us.
Our naturally reared healthy cattle are fed on home-grown cereals and grass. This means that the beef develops a better flavour when hung on the bone before being butchered, vacuum-packed and frozen. This ensures a better taste and more flavour for you to enjoy.
